Tom Rosenthal

Tom Rosenthal is best known for his work as an actor and a comedian. Having featured in a number of programmes across the screens of Channel 4 and the BBC, Tom has gained a reputation for his comical performances and become a fan favourite in the entertainment sector.

Before finding fame as a performer, Tom was a student studying Philosophy at King’s College in London. Tom made his debut as a performer on The Lunchtime Club: Class of 2010, before rising to fame as part of the hit Channel 4 sitcom Friday Night Dinner playing Johnny Goodman. Since first appearing on Friday Night Dinner in 2011, Tom has remained as a member of the cast for the following five series. The show was a huge hit averaging audiences of 4.7 million, which established Tom’s reputation as an actor.

After entertaining audiences on Friday Night Dinner, Tom was scouted for another sitcom. He became a member of the cast of Plebs in 2013, playing the character Marcus. Plebs was also a huge success, gaining several industry awards and propelling Tom further into the limelight. Since first appearing on Plebs, Tom has been the main character of the show for the five series it has aired. As well as Plebs and Friday Night Dinner, Tom has also appeared in a mini-series titled Flat TV and played Private Pike in Dad’s Army: The Lost Episodes.

As well as performing at some of the largest clubs in the UK, Matt is tour support for Ricky Gervais, Harry Hill, Lloyd Griffith (Soccer AM), Suzi Ruffell, Jason Manford, John Bishop, Phoenix Night’s Clinton Baptiste and Scott Bennett. He was also selected for Just The Tonic’s Big Value showcase at Edinburgh Festival in 2019 and finished runner up in Leicester Mercury’s Comedian of The Year 2020.
