Original and provocative, Baptiste is hailed as one of the most exciting acts to break in years. The London born stand up made comedy history in 2014 as the first Black British act to be nominated for a comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for his debut stand up show Citizen Dane. Following this nomination, the show enjoyed incredible success at London’s Soho Theatre completing two sold out runs with additional dates added due to phenomenal demand. His second stand up show Reasonable Doubts was again met with huge critical acclaim and performed to sold out audiences at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe, with his first nationwide solo tour following in 2016. In 2018 Dane set out on a massive world tour, covering numerous territories, with his smash hit third stand up hour G.O.D. (Gold. Oil. Drugs).

His extensive TV credits include Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Mock the Week (BBC Two), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Black, British and Funny (Channel 4), Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC Two), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave), Hypothetical (Dave), Tonight at the London Palladium (ITV1), Live from the BBC (BBC Three), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave), Comedians Solve World Problems (Comedy Central) and more. During the 2020 lockdown Baptiste performed on The Big Night In (BBC One) for Children in Need and Comic Relief. He has also hosted Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), Live from the Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and created, wrote and starred in his own sitcom Sunny D (BBC Three/One), which was the first black sitcom commissioned by the BBC in 20 years and is now being reformatted for US markets.

His “tour de force” (Leicester Mercury) performances have earned him a win for Best International Guest at the 2016 New Zealand Comedy Awards, followed by a sell out run in 2017 which saw him nominated for the same award again. He’s performed at sellout shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and the New Zealand Comedy Festival. An extremely in demand writer, Rich Wilson has also contributed on shows for BBC Three, Sky Arts and Channel 4.

Rich is also the host of the wildly popular insane in the: podcast series; currently featuring Men Brain, Fem Brain and soon for your aural pleasure, Them Brain! Rich talks to funny and interesting people about their experiences with mental health. In the last year the podcast has been nominated for an award with Podbible and in 2019 won an award with JOE for best podcast with the likes of; Guilty Feminist, Off Menu and Films To Be Buried With.

Guests have included; James Acaster, Scroobius Pip, Heston Blumenthal, GBBO’s Tom Allen, Romesh Ranganathan, David Baddiel, Jen Brister, Simon Evans, Dane Baptiste, Darren Harriott and many more.

Opening Act – Tom Davis

Before television, Davis worked as a scaffolder, bouncer, market stall trader and a stand-up comedian. When his friend was working as a runner on Bo’ Selecta, they gave some videos of their own comedy sketches to Leigh Francis, who then invited Davis to appear on the show. He appeared in various comedy roles on TV over the following years. In 2015 he co-created and starred in Murder in Successville. This semi-improvised show, in which a celebrity guest must help DI Sleet solve a fictional crime, became a cult hit. In 2016, Davis was named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit and appeared in the films Free Fire and Prevenge.

Middle Acts – Matt Price & Craig Deeley

Matt Price is known for having some of the most extraordinary and outrageous stories drawn from the wilder side of life. Hailing from Cornwall; he brings true warmth and heart to the stage whilst finding some audacious laughs in the most unexpected places.

Matt’s charm and talent have made him a favourite on the UK and International circuit and whether he is compering or performing a set, he has the expertise to win over even the toughest of audiences.

Despite the occasional misadventure on his travels Matt continues to work internationally and has worked in Eastern and Central Europe, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, South East Asia, Turkey, Australia and Scandinavia.

He is a very skilled act, in demand at comedy clubs and his versatility has also made him be chosen as a tour support for acts such as Russell Kane, Stephen K Amos and Norman Lovett.

His critically acclaimed solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival have also see Matt weaving his own amazing true tales into astonishing and very funny hour long solo shows.

 

Craig Deeley is a Birmingham-based stand-up who has crafted his art form over the last ten years. Craig’s repertoire is one of anecdotal observational comedy, combining humble self-mockery and tapping into the ridiculousness of modern life and everyday occurrences that we all recognise.
