As a mimic, he’s provided definitive impersonations of PMs and Presidents from Major to Mandela, Blair to Brown, Clinton to Cameron and Bush to Trump. As himself, he’s been presenter, writer, quiz-show host, actor, translator and even (briefly) ballroom dancer. (Strictly, 2011. WTF?)
Born in Edinburgh on 6 April 1961, Rory was educated at Wellington College and Kings College London, where he gained a BA in French, German and imitating lecturers. He speaks French adequately, German inadequately, and enough Russian to impress you for 90 seconds (unless you’re Russian). By the time he’d graduated in 1984, he was already performing on the London stand-up circuit and at his native Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and got his first TV series with the BBC in 1986. In a TV career of over 30 years, he’s won numerous awards, including 3 BAFTAs for his long-running Channel 4 satire series Bremner Bird & Fortune, featuring Rory and the two Johns.
Paul Sinha
Paul Sinha is a Comedy Cow favourite and has been performing with us of the last 6 years. Paul last performed at Milton Keynes Comedy Cow Festival where he played to a packed out room.
Paul Sinha is a talented doctor, comedian and a broadcaster from Britain. He has also established himself as an award winning quiz player. He is popular for his role of “Chaser” on the ITV game show The Chase.
Jonny Awsome
Britain’s Got Talent viral sensation – Jonny Awsum, is an award-winning comedian who has charmed audiences all around the world with his high energy performance style and unique brand of musical comedy.
After building his reputation on the UK comedy circuit, where he is a regular headliner and closing act, Jonny shot to national fame on Britain’s Got Talent. His TV performances won standing ovations and unanimous praise from the judges and went viral on the internet, racking up over 50 million views on YouTube.
Following BGT, Jonny enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months including a sell-out five-star reviewed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, a starring role in his first pantomime, and tour support to both Lost Voice Guy and Tape Face on their hit UK theatre tours.
After being inundated with requests to perform his own tour, Jonny created the show ‘Jonny Awsum is Coming to Town’ and played to full houses in many of the UK’s towns before COVID-19 put a temporary halt on live performances.
Undeterred, Jonny set about writing a virtual show specifically for youngsters. The show proved a hit, winning Best Kids’ Show at the 2021 Leicester Comedy Festival and is now being booked for live performances by family-friendly festivals and events all across the country.
In 2022, Jonny performed at the Glastonbury Festival, supported Jason Manford in arenas around the country and recorded his 2000th show for a new live album.
Jonny regularly pops up on TV and radio. He has featured on BBC Breakfast, GMTV, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live and Absolute Radio and has appeared in TV commercials for brands including Cravendale, EDF, The Post Office, VW and Samsung.
Hayley Ellis
A Manchester based comedian and former regular contributor to XFM’s breakfast show, Hayley Ellis has gone from strength to strength since she began performing.
A regular MC at gigs around the country, Hayley’s natural warmth and charm make her impossible to dislike*, something which has become evident in her success in new act competitions throughout the UK. Hayley has also become a regular sight gag contributor for the Russell Howard’s Good News television programme. (Avalon Television) and has appeared on MTV’s “Why aye love Geordie Shore” and “Comedy Set Lists” for Virgin television. She can also sometimes be heard on your wireless. (Absolute Radio) and her sketches and jokes have appeared on Newsjack (Radio 4)
